This Ibanez RG2228 was acquired by Herman in 2008 specifically for the recording of the DragonForce album Ultra Beatdown. It was utilised during the production sessions. The instrument gained further recognition when it was featured in Guitar World, documenting Herman’s early adoption of 8-string guitar technology within the power metal genre. Following the completion of the Ultra Beatdown sessions, this guitar remained in Herman’s London studio, preserved as a pivotal piece of the band’s evolutionary history.
